Lost and Found
Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, "Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep." I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Luke 15:5-7
Over here? No! Over there? No! Where has he gone to? We’ve searched high and low for over a year now to find our friend Junior and tonight we ran into someone who knew where he is now squatting. What a joyous reunion! How we’ve missed his prayers, his sweet spirit, his child-like countenance and his gratitude in receiving a sandwich. I couldn’t wait to ask him to pray for us, yes I was asking for his prayers instead of us praying for him. His prayers are so heartfelt, so simple and so sweet. Some evenings the streets can be so emotionally draining and tonight was no exception until we saw Junior. Thank you Lord for keeping him safe and bringing him back into our lives again!
It was a long evening and we still had a bag of sandwiches to give away so we ventured into another area of the city looking for people to share our blessings with. We accidentally scared 2 men pushing a beat-up stroller with what seemed to be all their possessions inside. When we pulled up beside them they told us they thought we were going to rob them, then they saw our faces and decided to talk to us. We gave them lunch bags and hygiene kits then asked if we could pray with them. One of the men asked us to wait a second as he wanted to show us the hand-made cross he wears around his neck. It was crafted by local Native American’s and it was beautiful. Christ was truly in our midst as we prayed for these precious men. The Lord so richly blesses us with unexpected encounters with his beautiful children. Thank you Father that you allow us to be your hands and feet in the city.
“Can I have your autograph?” What a way to end the evening! The last person we saw tonight asked Lauren for her autograph. We knew she was famous, after all for quite a few years we’ve been blessed by her acting abilities on stage at Kensington. Now we know that others find her as special as we do. Hey! Lauren, may I also have your autograph?
But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity. The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea. Psalm 102:12-17
Have a blessed week,

It was another glorious night full of surprises that the Lord had in store for us. Thank you Donna (and team) for waiting for me to finish Grayson’s Senior Meeting at school (so important to us). It was no small sacrafice to come back to pick me up at 10pm and continue on until midnight… but what a joy and a treat our God had in store for us!! Seriously, I know that this is one of the reasons God continues to let me live. THANK YOU for letting me be a part of it!
