It's Just Beginning To Reign!
We ventured out
tonight in the pouring rain. Four of us in the van. Ready
for God to show up and that He did!
When we stopped to talk
to "R" we found him very receptive... even in the rain. This
really surprises me every time. Why on earth would people stop to
talk to us? Why would they approach a van full of strangers pulling over
to the side of the road in the middle of hell? I wouldn't do it.
But time after time after time, they do. They are drawn in by the spirit
of God, the witness of their own spirits that tell them.... Something is
special here. "R", as it turns out is a Drug Counselor in a
Methadone clinic and himself a recovered addict. Happy to meet us, accept
prayer, and Donna's calling card, "R" assured us that he will
be in touch as he meets many women in need of our "services" ... (more)

How Many Loaves?
Jesus steals the show…AGAIN!
While we never know what to expect to see on the streets, we can always be sure of one thing: Jesus will show up; it’s just a matter of how He’ll make His presence known. Thursday was a showstopper….

I Think I Love You Too!
We all got into the van. It stared out with introductions of the other women riding as the team for that night. What wonderful women! It was an honor to meet them.
We got settled with tea and coffee and off we went-whispering a prayer for protection and for God to lead the way as we neighborhood. Talk of a shooting right where we were going to be, was a little unsettling at first. I was quick in forgetting the covering we had just asked for from the Lord. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will find refuge in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 90. Lend that shadow Lord!
Despite, being taken aback for the moment, it really felt like Donna's van was a sanctuary of sorts. It is not inconspicuous. ... (more)

A New Thing
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
We are doing a new thing, or maybe I should say the same thing in a new area. Yes, the Lord has been busy again, molding, shaping, growing and stretching us. We are now doing Outreach on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, in 2 different areas of the city. I have felt the Lord urging me to expand the outreach since 2005. So for the last few years we have been cruising and praying in different locations of the tri-county area. As much as we wanted to move into areas like Pontiac and Mt. Clemens we kept feeling the call back into another area of Detroit. I am so grateful for the team the Lord has put together as they have faithfully joined me in prayer for the direction the Lord would have us to take.
